Release 2
----------

Thanks to all the people who sent in SFA2 dat files. It wouldn't
be possible to complete the pack without you. Particular thanks
to darkcloud and Natabuu who have done particularly thorough
testing.

Everyone: bang away on the new pack to see what's still missing.
I estimate there must be only a handful of graphics missing now
so you'll have to be pretty thorough to find them unless there
is another hidden fighter in the game we haven't found yet.

Release 1
----------

I'd like to thank all the people who participated in the effort to
bring you the Street Fighter Alpha 2 decompressed graphics pack.
Thanks to the beta testers for helping find the graphics (there
are probably still a few missing especially on advanced endings),
DeJap for handling the release, and special thanks to zsKnight for
doing the early development work on S-DD1 and SFA2 emulation,
the ZSNES team for carrying on the effort, and Snes9x developer
Gary Henderson for helping solve a logging problem that was
causing some corrupted graphics in SFA2 that were holding up this
release.

If you notice after playing SFA2 that you have a non-zero sized
dat file (logs graphics that need to be decompressed but aren't
yet) you need to forward that on to me so I can get those
graphics included in the next version of the pack. Make sure
you are running the latest emulator version. The ZSNES dat file
name is sfa2dat.dat and Snes9x creates a dat file that has the
same name as the ROM you loaded with a .dat extension (this file
is saved in the Snes9x save file directory I think).

DO NOT send the graphics pack dat file in the sfa2sdd1 directory
(sdd1gfx.dat). This is the file that contains all the decompressed
graphics and is greater than 4 megabytes in size.

Before you send in your dat file please check to be sure you are
using the latest released version of the decompressed graphics
pack. Also, I believe Snes9x doesn't delete the .dat file on
startup like ZSNES so when you upgrade to a new pack version
on Snes9x you should also delete the sfa2.dat file (really
YOURSFA2ROMNAME.dat), otherwise you may have a non-zero length
dat file as a result of data missing from a previous pack but
not the current pack.

I'd also appreciate it if you happen to get to an advanced ending
of the game where there are missing graphics if you could also
send me an emulator save-state file (along with the dat file)
just before the ending so I can see it (this would be after all
fighting is completed and just before the end sequence starts).

You can send the sfa2dat.dat files to me at snesdumper@yahoo.com
if you have read and followed the above instructions and I'll
add any newly found graphics into a future pack.

Once a new pack is released please go back and check the spots
where you had missing graphics in the past to be sure they are
OK. I hope to one day be able to reverse engineer the S-DD1
decompression algorithm so we won't need these decompressed
packs but until then we all have to do our part to help make
the packs the best they can be.
